Thanks for sharing Simon. This is very interesting to know. Because as an illustrator, when the manuscript comes to me, it already comes with a Title (atleast so far).
Often I have a working title that tends to stick because we all just get used to it. Poppy and the Blooms was originally Bloom and the publisher suggested the change. Took a while to get used to, but was a good call as I've since noticed loads of books called Bloom! : )

I'm trying to recall whether any of mine had the title changed once the illustrator was already signed up...but I'm struggling to think of any!
