Simon! I feel like I conjured this post because I genuinely thought about this Substack this morning and wondered when there would be a new post/hoped you were alright, etc. Brilliant. I do love these insights while also feeling a bit sick about HOW MANY IDEAS YOU HAVE ALL THE TIME. Anyway, I've just ordered Wanna See a Penguin which I had somehow missed, even though I literally always want to see a penguin.
haha! Ah, thanks Katie. Appreciate your concern/comment/PENGUIN order! And it may look like I have many ideas all the time, but it certainly doesn’t feel like it 😅
Great piece. It’s very insightful (especially with a newbie such as myself that comes from a different industry). Looking forward to reading more insights and congratulations on the book deal and the new house
Thank you. Really appreciate your work and what you're doing with this space. I found it very helpful. I am catching up with your old posts, and I already see a few great ones. I'm sure I'll shoot some questions your way at some point. Meanwhile, keep up with the good work.
Welcome back Simon ! Great post again thank you so much for sharing ! Very excited to see your new office space when you’re ready to share it. LOVE snooping at peoples studios and office spaces.
Thanks Victoria! Looking forward to getting stuck in to this Substack again. And as always, appreciate your feedback! Shouldn’t be too long a wait for the garden office tour - just a few more bits to sort first :)
Welcome back, Simon, and congratulations on the new house! I have to say the one I found most intriguing that hasn't been acquired is Fish and Chimps. Hope to see it in print one day! Thanks as always for sharing your experiences!
Thanks, Michelle! And how interesting… if I’m honest I can see why that text never got acquired, despite being silly and fun - certainly not as polished as it could be!
